Music group Praye captured the attentiveness of patrons of Decemba2Rememba 2019 when they introduced Di Asa winner Precious Mensah, a contestant and video vixen Pamela Odame Watara unto the stage to dance to the performance of their good old ‘Angelina’.
Taking from the album ‘Roll Koll’, the piece produced by Appietus and released about a decade ago, the group, through the song and the three television personalities pulled off a near nice show.
The group, however performed without former leader Eugene Baah (Choirmaster) for reasons yet to be known. This comes after Beverly Afaglo, wife of Choirmaster remarked that her husband has been sidelined by the other members.
She argued that Praye campaigned for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prior to the 2016 elections which Choirmaster was not a part of, but after the group came back together, the governing party, has been engaging the two other members without Choirmaster.
The lamentation sparked speculation that the group had once again split again. In response, Praye Tenten who had jetted off for a show abroad with Praye Tietia said Beverly was depressed and advised she be mindful of her utterances as she is not the spokesperson for the group.
Decemba2Rememba is a concert which has been organized by Citi FM for the past 13 years. Held on Christmas Eve, it has provided quality entertainment to patrons during the Yuletide and has thus been touted the ‘Official Christmas Party.’
This year’s edition came off at the Fantasy Dome and saw performances from Okyeame Kwame, Kofi Kinaata, Kuami Eugene, Krymi, Kelvyn Boy, Adina, Praye, DopeNation, KiDi, Tulenkey, OB Amponsah and Mmebusem.
