Ghanaian music group, Praye, will soon kick start a tour across the country as a way of solidifying their comeback as a group in the country.
The multi award-winning trio parted ways in 2014 after having made several hit songs like ‘Shordy,’ ‘Angelina,’ ‘Jacket’ among others.
Several attempts were made by industry players and key stakeholders to keep them together but could not materialize as each took on solo projects.
However, the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards succeeded in bringing the group back for a performance after four years of solo projects.
Manager for the group, O B Jerry revealed on TV3’s Music Music show Saturday evening that Praye’s comeback was greatly influenced by pressure from their fanbase.
He added the reunion of the group has been great, citing a number of shows they played during the festive season as evidence.
OB Jerry disclosed that beginning this month, the trio will be embarking on a comeback tour and has called on the public to get ready for praye.
Meanwhile, the trio thrilled patrons of Music Music with a sterling performance which got TV3’s studio B turned up in full celebrations. They switched seamlessly from the old songs to the new songs, including their latest, ‘Gbang Gbai’ which they recorded after their reunion.
The Tema-based ‘Doctor of Creative Rhymes You Most Enjoy’ (D-Cryme) was also a delight to watch on the Music Music stage. The ‘Kill Me Shy’ and ‘Koko Sakora’ hits maker took a moment mid-way his amazing performance to ‘vibe’ with studio audience dropping a few caution words on road safety.
