Laurence Asiama Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog, manager of dancehall king,Shatta wale, has cautioned politicians who might want to engage Shatta wale to either compose campaign songs or perform on their campaign platforms to prepare to use all their campaign budget to pay for his service during the 2016 electioneering campaign.
He said this when he was being interviewed by DJ P Fresh, the host of Storm fm’s entertainment unlimited show.
He made his intentions known when he was sharing his view concerning what film maker and a showbiz critic, socrate Sarfo, asserted that Ghanaian artistes should charge less in order to perform on many platforms, which he disagreed with Socrate.
"That’s his own view, but i don’t agree with him .it’s not about how many shows you perform, but it’s about how you present your brand.i even think the artistes should rather charge more so we the managers can get more” he said.
DJ P Fresh then asked him the amount he may charge if a political party should offer to engage shatta wale?
“Politicians should be prepared to use all their campaign budget in paying shatta wale.I’ll charge huge sum of money .i don’t even think they can pay.We are very expensive. I’ll charge $20B.” he answered with much humor,
Bull Dog further said he will jump on stage to perform even if Shatta Wale should refuse to perform at a time the political party had accepted to pay such a huge amount because he knows none of the political parties have such an amount of money in Ghana.
