Prophet Obeng-Boateng says 2002 is a glorious year for Ghana

The year 2002 is going to usher in significant and tremendous transformation of Ghana it is going to be the turning point in the history of Ghana, which will bring massive and giant development projects, progress and prosperity.

One of the most powerful anointed men of God in Ghana, Evangelist Ernest Obeng Boateng, prophesied this in a series of sermons preceding and after the New Year festivities at his church, Mount Zion Prayer Ministry International at Abeka Lapaz a suburb of Accra.

The 27-year old prophet who was anointed by God nearly 10 years ago revealed, "God is going to clearly demonstrate his love for this nation this year. Not only Ghanaians but foreigners will marvel at the trend of development in Ghana."

Evangelist Obeng-Boateng disclosed that Ghanaians are going to experience unprecedented success in all spheres of their lives and people are going to live happy, comfortable and pleasant lives in freedom and in dignity. He was quick to emphasise that all these are going to be the work of the almighty God, and not the work of any ordinary mortals like politicians.

He said for over 40 years, Ghana has been in political bondage and wilderness but God is going to deliver his people and demonstrate his deep love and affection for Ghana in the year 2002.

The pastor said for forty years Ghanaians like the Israelites offended God by sinning against him but God has forgiven us our sins because of our constant prayers and supplication. He emphasized, "The almighty has turned his eyes and ears to us. We have now found favour with God."

The pastor stressed, "we have been in bondage and economic difficulties for far too long. There is going to be wealth and plenty of money in people's pockets this year."

Evangelist Obeng-Boateng prophesied that one sector which will record significant improvement will be the transportation system. He revealed that there is going to be a complete overhaul in the transportation sector. There will be greater improvement in the railway system in particular with the re-alignment of the railway lines, provision of new and modern coaches as well as an extension of the rail system to the North and neighbouring countries. "Our railway system will soon be one of best in the West African sub-region," he said.

"I can also see new coaches and buses running in the streets of Accra. When this happens, I do not know what is going to happen to our rickety taxi cubs and trotro vehicles.

"This is a real message God has given me to deliver to his people this year."

He said Ghana will experience an economic boom and the country will be restored to its former glory.

Evangelist Obeng-Boateng said when the economy improves and there is happiness in the country, Ghanaians will give the President an accolade because of his wise leadership. He said the most high God has handed over the key to the progress of Ghana to President Kufuor and through him Ghana will rise up again.

The Pastor appealed to all Ghanaians particularly President J.A. Kufuor, his family, ministers and members of the New Patriotic Party to pray constantly to God. He explained that it is God who put them in power and they should never forget Him.

He said, "I have realised that after the elections most people particularly those in power have relaxed in their prayers. We do not have to rest but to go down on our knees and always remember God."

Evangelist Obeng-Boateng concluded, "In the name of almighty God, I make a passionate appeal to all Ghanaians irrespective of their political persuasions, religious beliefs or tribal inclinations to pray for peace, development, progress and unity for Ghana to achieve the noble goals of the Government."
