Prophet Kofi Oduro, has taken a swipe at his colleague Eric Boahen Uche, following the latter’s recent prophecies concerning the death of actress Beverly Afaglo.

In a video shared on social media and sighted by GhanaWeb on June 1, 2026, Prophet Kofi Oduro cautioned Prophet Uche against what he described as fake and unnecessary prophecies.

According to him, prophesying about the death of an individual is not something a prophet should boast about or publicly celebrate.

He explained that such revelations, if genuine, are intended to prompt intercession and prayer rather than be publicly announced for attention or controversy.

“What kind of prophecy is that? Look at the way you are disgracing God because of these prophecies. Is a prophecy about someone’s death something a prophet should be announcing publicly? Who wants to die?

“Most prophecies are not even meant for public announcement. They are meant to guide the prophet to intercede and pray for the person involved. I want to remind my colleagues that we will account for every word we speak. Be careful because we are not God. Don’t speak as if you are God,” he said.

Prophet Oduro also criticised Prophet Uche over his prophecies concerning the UEFA Champions League final involving Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

It will be recalled that Prophet Eric Boahen Uche, ahead of the much-anticipated final, predicted that PSG would emerge victorious.

However, in a subsequent video, Prophet Uche reportedly stated that Arsenal would win the final instead.

Final funeral rites for Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo set for August 7

Reacting to the conflicting predictions, Prophet Kofi Oduro argued that football outcomes should not be presented as divine revelations, adding that God has more important matters to address.

“Stop the nonsense. God does not care about your football predictions. Take those talks away. Do you think God spends His time predicting football matches? These are your personal interests. Until you repent, I will continue to speak against such things. I do not care what anyone thinks,” he added.
