Lawyer Maurice Ampaw and Prophet One
Controversial private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw claims the founder and leader of Ebenezer Miracle Worship Centre in Kumasi, Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom popularly called Prophet One, prophesied eight years ago he was infected with HIV/AIDS.
According to him, the prophecy was faked because the Man of God had an eye on his female friend.
“The lady went to him for some spiritual guidance on her relationship and she took advantage of the situation to give her a fake prophecy about me. She told the lady she was getting closer to a lawyer who was suffering from HIV/AIDS and that was the end of our association”, he revealed on Okay FM.
Maurice Ampaw said he was not engaged in an amorous sexual relationship with her in any way but was counseling her after the girl in question approached him over some relationship problems she was facing with her partner who at the time was not in Ghana.
“There was nothing between us. She is my student in one of the five universities I lecture and that is how come she got closer to me. She admired by intelligence and frankness and was attracted to me but before I knew it, she went to Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom and afterwards distanced herself from me”, he explained.
Asked if he was in the process of dating the unnamed lady, he said: ‘No I only counseled her just like I do to other people who come to me. Many people approach me for advice if they face relationship problems and she is one of them. Truth be told she is pretty and irresistible but I cannot date her. I love my wife”
