‘Punches are always necessary and allowed’ – Samini says as he eyes album of the year award

Samini, the Ghanaian Reggae sensation, has said it’s always very necessary and allowed to throw punches in songs.

Samini, who spoke about his 21-track “Untamed Album”, which was reviewed song-by-song on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda was answering a question posed by the host of the show, Sammy Flex, about some lines in his “Ragga Dada” piece that seemed to be aiming a swipe at Shatta Wale, the self-acclaimed king of dancehall.

The “Linda” hitmaker accepted that the song which was produced by JMJ has some punches and it’s very necessary and allowed to have them.

Samini, in another development also said he’s already won the 2019 VGMA Album of the Year when he was asked whom he thinks can win the award.

He also revealed that he didn’t cut the cake his family presented to him with the knife given during his show in December 2018 on stage because he thought doing so will mean stabbing himself.
