Quofi Quofi warns Yaa Pono

Up and coming Ghanaian recording artiste Nana Danso Agyapong popularly known in showbiz arena as Quofi Quofi has made a very salient statement in this week’s edition of Flex newspaper.

According to the Osu – based rapper, most Ghanaian musicians’ brands are not selling or flourishing because of the kind of names associated with their brands and for that matter Ghanaian popular rapper Yaa Pono is a perfect example of such musicians.

Quofi Quofi is a young budding Ghanaian fine rapper who is gradually making ways to the apex so far as rap music in Ghana is concerned, for the sake of easy identification Quofi Quofi has a glove always on his left hand and also a v – shaped symbol on his haircut which stands for victory.

Meanwhile, being in the music game for the past five years he thinks that as industry, we are lacking good contents in our music hence his presence in the industry and we aksed? “I am here to use my brand to rewrite certain fallacies in our entertainment industry. During a one on one interview with Flex newspaper, the self – acclaimed Prince of Rap Music noted that people should not get this twisted.

“Yaa Pono is a very good rapper who started with Sarkodie and the rest but today, where is Pono? For an underground musician to make way into the lime light its not an easy task at all, so I am not ready to gamble with my career, he said. Truth be told, most of our artistes who change their showbiz names have just realized how irrelevant their old brand names were period. We all know in Ghana the name Yaa is given to a Thursday female born so how can a male use the same name and expect to flourish musically.

Quofi Quofi who is signed under Give Way Entertainment stated that he has three singles out now one with D Cryme, song title is Medekuku and another one with King Jerry Oluwa Baba. The one with Episode and Rashid Mettal are yet to be released into the music market but for now I want everybody to dance with my new banger for the year 2016. It is called Sherikoko, a well composed song which is all ready receiving air plays on Radio XYZ, Pluzz FM, among others.

Sherikoko is a special song for our beautiful African women worldwide. On the song he featured a Togolese artist known as Kekeli. I choose a Togolese because I needed the French bit on the song. The production was successfully done by Runny Turn Me up.
