It is indeed preposterous to read such a publication about Soundcity Ghana on GhanaWeb.com; dated April 3rd, 2014 with the caption: "Soundcity Ghana & their 'ghost mode' attitude must stop"; considering the enormous opportunities the brand has created and still creating for Ghanaian artistes. The growing vibrating echoes currently experienced in the entertainment industry of Ghana today is also through the unflinching supports and contributions of Soundcity Ghana taking a lot of Ghanaian Artistes in and out of the Country promoting and creating promotional opportunities with the platform for recognition including increased fan base with accompanied fame. Contrary to the false and inaccurate information recently published on your website about Soundcity's operations in Ghana. The management of Soundcity Africa Music Channel in Ghana will like to inform the general public that none of those information is correct, it is completely misleading and fabricated by some not well informed about Soundcity Ghana operations. The brand "Soundcity" is a household name to all music lovers in Africa and beyond, with a strong drive to promote urban contemporary music with some identifiable bias for local content to deliver the very best of African culture, Music, Entertainment and lifestyle to a global audience, and that is exactly what Soundcity Ghana is poised to achieve for the Ghanaian Entertainment industry.

In a bid to achieve this height, Soundcity Ghana has been working hand in hand with some major entertainment practitioners, supporting and partnering Ghanaian artistes in different ways since its re-launch 2 years ago. Just last month, March 15, 2014 to be precise: Soundcity Ghana took R2bees and DJ Kess to Liberia to perform at Soundcity Beach Jam held at Bernard Beach in Monrovia with over 20,000 people in attendance (See Pictures and video) The brand also organized some networking events last year for some Nigerian and Ghanaian artistes dubbed Soundcity premium party. The first one was held in August 2013 at Exel Night Club (Now club 45) featuring Iyanya and Emma Nyra from Nigeria along with Sarkodie, Irene Logan, 4x4, Bisa Kdei and many more. The second networking event took place in September 2013 at Bella Roma in Osu featuring Chocolate city all star from Nigeria i.e MI Abaga, Ice Prince and others along with Sarkodie, EL, Dee Money, Trigmatic, and others. We can confirm to the public strongly that the networking events have yielded results so far for most parties, as lots of good collaboration between the two countries have increased compared to previous years. Also to bring your attention to the fact that Ghanaian artistes' songs are now enjoying more airplay on our DSTV channel 327 compared to a short while ago, though we still battle with the issue of low video quality produced by some artistes which hinders the granting of more slots.

Finally, early this year, Soundcity Ghana acquired an adequate office space at Lapaz, (opposite fairview hotel at Nyamekye traffic light) for production studio to produce more Ghanaian contents, with state of the art additional production equipments. This clearly explains the fact that Soundcity in Ghana is not sleeping and snoring but working extra hard to ensure that our vision to contribute massive effort in moving the Ghanaian entertainment industry is not a snow balling effort.

In conclusion, Soundcity country director in Ghana, Mr Ebuwa Martins will like to use this medium to appeal to Ghanaian artistes and stakeholders to be more patient, because more goodies are in the pipeline for 2014.
