RTP awards to be launched in Kumasi

The CEO of Radio and Television Personalities Awards, Prince Makay has hinted that this year's launch of the awards show is likely not to be held in Accra.

According to Mr Makay in an exclusive interview with Seacitygh.com he said barring all hitches, there is a likelihood of holding this year's award launch in the Garden City, Kumasi as management is yet to finalize on that.

"If God permits, this year, the launch will be in Kumasi. The management is meeting this week to take a final decision. We're not not doing it because people are complaining but because we want to bring it closer to other regions. So maybe next year too it will be in other regions."

He however hinted that this year's awards is under consideration to be pushed forward to somewhere in September because of the general elections in November this year.

RTP Awards has been one of the most credible and respected award schemes in Ghana as far as radio and television businesses are concerned.
