Young Ghanaian actor Rahim Banda who is also an Ambassador for government’s flagship programme Free SHS on Sunday joined the people of Abossey Okai Zongo to celebrate the Eid-Al-Fitr and donated packs of food to over 300 people.
The actor who went to the community with his family and team first paid a visit to the chief of the visually impaired (blind) group Alhaji Abubakari Iddrisu and through him, distributed food to over 300 people including the blind.
Rahim Banda and his team later proceeded to the street and shared food to beggars and cripples.
He used the opportunity to advise everyone to adhere to the social distancing protocols to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
During the donation, he mentioned "that today marks a very important day on the Islamic calendar and it is indeed a very special day to his family and all Muslims.
“After fasting for 30 days in the Holy month, we give thanks to the Almighty Allah that we are here today."
In a separate chat with AttractiveMustapha.com he said that, all hands are not equal, some people are privileged enough to enjoy this day and it is only circumstantial that some cannot so his team sees the need to come out and support.
