Samuel Kwame Bampoe who represented Ghana at the maiden edition of the Big Brother Africa show has scorned detractors of the Show and asked Ghanaians to rally behind our representatives at this year’s Hot-Shot Programme.
Speaking to Dj Sly on Ark Fm in Sunyani over the weekend, Samuel Kwame Bampoe also known in showbiz as Sammy B said the programme is all about how people from different countries in Africa come together under one roof to know and understand the culture and background of other people as well as their moral upstanding.
“Universally Big Brother Africa is a reality show which bring people you would never thought of meeting together to talk to and also know and understand their culture, behavior as well as giving them the opportunity to know people”.
Samuel Kwame Bampoe’s assertion was in response to the recent complains from Ghanaians about the bad nature of the programme especially the nudity and immoral aspect of it. He further explained that Ghanaians should stop condemning the Big Brother Africa Show because all the characters and behaviors people always criticize are the same normal things that happen in our society and are accepted
Samuel Kwame Bampoe who again featured in 2010 Big Brother Africa: All-Stars said, “these things that people talk about are the same things that happen in our society and the representation at the BBA house are people from different countries in Africa who are housed at one place for three months, so they are the same but the only difference is that Big Brother Africa is a reality show which is aired live on television”.
He added that being a representative in the Big Brother House is a lifetime opportunity and a good platform for any discipline you put yourself in so Ghanaians should not hesitate to grab the chance and rally behind them.
“BBA helps you to connect with people in the kind of business you want to do and with me it gave me the opportunity to work with channel O on DSTV for a very long time close to two and half years”.
