The news of his arrest for allegedly snatching two cars from their rightful owners in a gong of eight came as astonishment to those who followed the "Stars of the Future"? reality TV show screened on GTV and his fans who love him for the incredible musical gift he has.

Ramzy?s popular song titled ?Dreams? drives the ladies wherever it is played. His selection to participate in the next level of the M-Net Idols West Africa was a dream many people had for him.

Even after this made headlines and a topic of discursion for several radio and TV stations, a section of the public still do not believe that the Ramzy we all know is involve with such a mess.

Others who think he is arrogant and rude are not surprise to here this. For them whether the allegation is true or false this is just to teach him a sober lesson. Later in the week after the incident on Saturday 17th February Ramzy and the seven others were moved to remand in Nsawam prisons.

Confirming this in an interview on Peace FM?s ?Entertainment Review? his mother, madam Mary Hammond said it is true Ramzy has being arrested but for something he has never than and will never do. The sixth among her children Mary made clear that his son is not an armed robber and there no way he can be a car snatcher.

Narrating whole incident madam Hammond recalls that on one night last year October, Jerry an old friend Ramzy grew up with in North Kaneshie, woke him up that he (Jerry) has a car sent to him from Togo so he wants Ramzy to help him find someone to buy it.

Luckily there was a car sales garage just about 100miles from their house where Ramzy lead Jerry to park the car over night. Next morning, owner of the garage saw an unknown car and when he went closer, he met three guys who spent the night in the car and drove them away with their car. According to her, she didn?t see Jerry in the house again until about two weeks ago when this same Jerry towed another car with a taxi to their house and took two hundred thousand cedis from Ramzy to pay the taxi driver and promised to pay him back after selling the car. After this, Jerry never came back until last week Saturday when he appeared with two other guys and told Ramzy to follow him to someone who has agreed to buy the car.

Not knowing, the others who came with Jerry were CID officers who immediately arrested him.

As to where he has been taken presently, Madam Mary said her son is currently in remand at Nsawam awaiting first court proceedings scheduled for 15th March. It?s obvious the up coming music star will celebrate the 50th anniversary behind bars.

In a chart with Okyeame Quophi who discovered this talent he was rather surprised when he saw his boy?s face on TV arrested among identical criminals. When we asked Qouphi if he had ever suspected Ramzy of any criminal act he said he does not harbor criminal so if Ramzy was one he wouldn?t have even allowed him come that close. He expressed his displeasure and only hopes the truth and justice should prevail. Mean while Chief Inspector Nketia Yeboah, the Tema regional Police Public affairs officer confirmed its true they have arrested someone named Ramzy but refused to comment on the issue because according to him the case is already in court so we should wait for the law to take its course.
