Kweku Smoke is a Ghanaian rapper
Ghanaian rap sensation Kweku Smoke has announced a live performance in the UK.
The Kweku Smoke Live event, according to the official flyer, will take place at Electric Brixton in London.
The South London venue, formerly known as The Fridge, has a capacity of 1,700 for club events and 1,500 for live music shows.
Following a £1m refurbishment, it was rebranded as Electric Brixton and has hosted iconic performers over the years, including R&B legends Soul II Soul, who held a residency there in the 1980s, and model and singer-songwriter Grace Jones, who graced the stage in the 1990s.
Kweku Smoke rose to widespread acclaim with the release of his Kweku Jesus album in 2024, followed later that year by Born in Hell.
He won his first Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) trophies in 2025 and headlined the 20th anniversary of Akwaaba UK’s Party in the Park in London that same year, delivering arguably the strongest audience response of the event.
Known for his raw storytelling, covering life’s highs and lows, struggles and successes, and his energetic rap style featuring chants and screams, Smoke has become a favourite among Hip-Hop and Hiplife fans.
He remains a consistent presence on the charts, with his latest album titled Walk With Me.
The official flyer notes that entry to the London show is restricted to those 18 years and older. Tickets for the Friday, May 29, 2026, event are available at myticket.co.uk.
After two successful editions of his annual Revival event at the Ghud Park in Accra, taking his music to London, not as a guest, but as a host, is a bold move that signals both growth and a desire to assert his presence locally and internationally.
