Micheal Asante Boateng aka 2Ras is a new rapper who deserves wider attention.
The young man has released four singles; all produced by sound engineer J M J. The tracks are My First Love featuring Eugene of Praye, Lighters Up featuring Stonebwoy, M?d? B? Bom featuring Obrafour and S?iho.
His M?d? B? Bom song, which is the sound track for the Afia Schwarzenegger television series, is 2Ras’ favourite among the items under his name.
That piece and My First Love have enjoyed ample airplay. 2Ras raps about his swag and what he has to offer music fans on M?d? B? Bom. On the same track, Obrafour describes 2Ras as a rapper about to thrill and tells everyone to listen to his sounds.
On My First Love, 2Ras tells about what he went through to win his lover. He says he does his best to provide whatever his girl needs just to make her feel good.
2Ras is putting finishing touches to his debut album which features artistes like Kontihene, Pat Thomas, Asem, Kaakie and Okyeame Kwame.
“I believe I have what it takes to do good music. I address issues and I don’t just rap for rapping sake. That’s one of the things that make me stand out,” he said.
A graduate of the University of Professional Studies, 2Ras said hiplife musicians Reggie Rockstone and Obrafour inspire him.
