Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie has delivered a response to his critics, with tickets to his highly anticipated Rapperholic UK 2027 concert at the O2 Arena selling out almost entirely within hours of going on sale.

Tickets for the concert, Rapperholic UK 2027, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 6, 2027, Ghana's 70th Independence Day, at the prestigious O2 Arena in Greenwich, London, were announced by Sarkodie on March 13, 2026, at 10 am.

Checks by GhanaWeb revealed that the vast majority of sections across the arena are marked SOLD OUT, with only a handful of Floor Standing and select seated sections still available, priced between £82.50 and £93.50, plus booking fees.

'Seeing other artistes thrive inspires me' - Sarkodie tells KiDi

The near-sellout sent social media into a frenzy, with fans and industry watchers praising Sarkodie for the landmark achievement.

The development is particularly significant given the online scepticism that preceded the announcement, with some Ghanaians questioning whether the Tema-born rapper could fill one of the world's most iconic concert venues, which holds approximately 20,000 people.

Fellow Ghanaian artiste Shatta Wale had earlier called out such doubters, urging Ghanaians to back their own rather than undermine them from home. The ticket numbers appear to have done the talking.
