Ghanaian beauty queen, Rebecca Asamoah, who was adjudged first runner-up at the 2017 Miss United Nations World pageant in Jamaica has been outdoored as the second ambassador for the Free Senior High School project.

Following comments and criticisms that emerged after Abraham Attah’s appointment as the project’s ambassador, a second ambassador has also been selected to spearhead the project.

Rebecca Asamoah who was outdoored during the Abraham Attah Free SHS campaign in an interview expressed excitement about the appointment, for her, it is an opportunity to impact lives through a worthy cause.

“I’m actually elated and humbled because I am for youth empowerment and it is a privilege to stand tall and to continue to motivate my fellow youth out there, make them believe in themselves and know that this initiative is best for them”.

The beauty queen urged the youth to stay positive, stay focus and work extremely hard and be determined because this Free SHS initiative is to propel them, to groom them to become better people for the future.

Head of Communications for the E On 3 Group, Francisca Kakra Forson who was part of Saturday’s campaign said more ambassadors will be outdoored subsequently in line with the agenda, as a means of inspiration for younger ones.

According to her, the various ambassadors will play various roles in all 10 regions nationwide.

The ‘Free Senior High School’ project was a major campaign promise of the governing New Patriotic Party during the 2016 electioneering period and is expected to begin in the next academic year, September 2017 beginning with the first year students.
