The rasta fraternity in Ghana would hold a reggae night in memory of fallen legends, Lucky Dube and Joseph Hill popularly known as Culture.
The event is scheduled for Monday December 31 at the Roxy Cinema, Adabraka in Accra.
This is not the first time Rastafarian brethrens are coming together to celebrate their legends. When Culture died in August 2006 a similar event was held. This time, it is a joint event for Lucky and Culture.
The occasion is expected to attract many Rastafarians from various African countries. However, it is not open to Rastafarians only as non-Rastafarians are also expected to come and witness it.
Ghanaian Rastafarians who would grace the occasion are Daddy Bosco, Black Rasta, Black Santino and Culture B. Also present would be Wofa K of Radio Gold, Shasha Marley and a host of others.
The two legends’ sudden deaths shocked the entire world, which is still mourning their deaths.
Culture died at age 57, of liver failure while on tour in Europe, and Lucky on the other hand was shot dead in front of his two children in a car hijacking attempt in Johannesburg, South Africa. The two reggae stars made great contributions to the development of reggae music across the globe and would forever be remembered.
