Stonebwoy has said that, Shatta Wale did not allow him along with dancehall artiste Samini to performing at his reign album launch because he is insecure.
Stonebwoy in a tweet Monday said “surprise support was way better than a fake tweet. But for insecurity problems”.
The tweet went on to say “you refused to take advantage of the opportunity. Would you have asked the crowd if you weren’t aware?"
This reaction followed a tweet by Shatta Wale apologizing to Samini for the incident.
"Why lie? Feel free, come on we knew you will refuse us anyway”.
Dancehall maestro, Samini, also reacted in a tweet: “congrats @shattawalegh on your album launch, just like you once wanted to surprise me on “saminifest” stage and I let you, I’d wanted to do the same but I waited in the car together with @stonebwoyb for over an hour only to be told you refused the gesture. #supportourown huh??”
These tweets were responded to by Shatta Wale also in a tweet claiming he had no knowledge of the duo at the launch.
“Oh! How? This is news to me, sorry if this was the case, am very very sorry..it wld hv bn nice!! Thnx for the support”.
Meanwhile, former manager of Shatta Wale, Nana Asiamah Hanson, known in showbiz circles as Bulldog, took responsibility for the decision saying he denied the two artistes the opportunity to perform.
“Some of us needed to protect our artistes and we realized that when Samini and Stonebwoy come on stage, it would have been a different thing, so I took that call that it can’t happen.” Bulldog stated.
As to whether Shatta Wale knew the duo were around, he said, “there were a lot of people around and a lot of things happening so I can’t readily confirm if Shatta had an idea they were around”.
