The management of Rex Omar attention has been drawn to a publication dated 23rd June 2015 alluding to Mr. Rex Owusu Marfo popularly known as Rex Omar as taking a ‘swipe’ at Ghanaian Djs.

The story stems from an interview Rex Omar had with Austine Woode of Kumasi based Radio station, Luv FM talking about the release of his new song ‘Paapa’.

We wish to state here that, never did the ace musician deliberately take a ‘swipe’ at Ghanaian Djs as it may have seemed.

Rather, he sought to agree with a submission made by hiplife artiste, Guru who emphasized on same program that not all songs recorded by musicians are played by Djs.

Portions of Guru’s statement adapted from your website reads ‘’Go back and pick a song like ‘I Do’ which I did with Afriyie, listen to the lyrics and beat arrangement and you will appreciate it’s a good music but how many of you radio Djs played that song?”

Rex Omar acknowledges the fact without Djs, there will be no musicians as Djs help in the promotion of their songs.

He urged them rather to play all genre of songs so as to have variety on the airwaves.

However, it must be said here that if Rex Omar sounded as taking a ‘swipe’ at Ghanaian Djs, by this publication he renders his apology as this was not a deliberate act.
