Friends are important in our lives but if not properly managed, our friends can also ruin our relationship.

Below are 6 ways you let your friends ruin your relationship

1. Choosing to always hang out with friends than your partner

Hanging out with friends is really important but when you prefer hanging out with friends to hanging out with your partner, then you are letting your relationship with your friends kill your relationship with your partner.

If you never forget planned hangouts with friends, but you always forget planned hangouts with your partner, then you are letting your friendship ruin your relationship.

2. Your friends don't respect your partner

You let your friends ruin your relationship when you allow them to disrespect your partner. Your friends should treat your partner with all the respect your partner deserves and you shouldn’t let your friends speak unkindly about your partner.

Your friends should protect and encourage you and your partner and not try to destroy what you have with your partner.

3. Friends who encourage flirting

You let your friends ruin your relationship when they always try to hook you up. It’s dangerous to have friends who think flirting and playing around is fun as this could spell danger for your relationship.

You shouldn’t have friends that always put you in tempting situations. These are not the type of friends you should have.

4. When you confide in your friends more than your partner.

If you prefer to confide more with your friends than partner, then you are letting your friends ruin your relationship.

It’s even worse when you do this if you are married. When you have big decisions to make in your life, your spouse and not your friends should be the person you confide in.

5. Your friends know everything about your relationship

If you allow your friends to know everything about your partner and your relationship, you are only asking for trouble. If you do this, you really need to stop because doing this ruins your relationship.

There are certain things in your relationship that should be kept between you and your partner alone. It’s really wrong for your friends to know everything about your relationship.

But there is definitely an exception to this rule. If you are in an abusive relationship, talking to a trusted friend is really important.

6. Your friends don't respect your relationship

You shouldn’t keep friends that don’t respect your relationship. Your friends should be there for you always without trying to replace your partner. Your relationship with your friends should be able to coexist properly without compromising your relationship with your partner.
