Ghana Music.com can confirm that Rocky Dawuni has been nominated in the category for “Outstanding World Music Album”.
His album “Hymns For The Rebel Soul” was picked alongside "Oyo" (Angelique Kidjo), “The Imagine Project” (Herbie Hancock), “The Sound of Sunshine” Michael Franti and “VOCAbuLarieS” Bobby McFerrin in the same category .
The 41st NAACP Image Awards will be held on 4th March which will also be telecasted live on the FOX channel but the location is yet to be announced.
The NAACP Image Awards targets people in entertainment areas. Honorees, presenters and performers included many of the major celebrities in America as well as international political figures and dignitaries.
The NAACP Image Awards has 53 competitive categories in the fields of motion picture, television, recording and literature. And our own, Ghanaian international reggae star Rocky Dawuni clinched a nomination. Well done, Rocky
