Royal Priesthood grabs four nominations at Gospel Music Awards, Italy

Ghanaian urban gospel music group, Royal Priesthood has been nominated in four categories at the 2016 Gospel Music Awards, Italy.

Aside earning nomination as Best International Group, their song, TYPO, was nominated as Best International Song, Best International Hip-hop Song and Best International Video of the Year.

TYPO, produced and mixed by Mike Mills and Phee the Initiator is the acronym for Turn Your Power On. The song seeks to encourage Christians to exercise their power as captured in Luke 10: 19.

That is, to trample upon snakes and scorpions. With a concept to depict Royalty and Power, the music video was directed and shot by Eddie Palay Blay and Dikoder.

Royal Priesthood is an Urban Gospel Ministry that aims at using music as a means of bringing people into the presence of God to have an encounter with God and create the avenue for soul winning.

The music duo, made up of Theophilus Lomoko (Judah) and Eric Ababio, (Phee) was established in August 2009, and has since won several awards.

Their track ‘His Joy’ was adjudged Best International Hip-hop Song at the 2013 Gospel Music Awards. ‘New Wine’ won them Best International Album at the 2015 edition of the same event alongside Best Inspirational Group at Africa Gospel Music Awards 2015, Italy.
