Samini has finally broken his silence over Kofi Kinaata leaving High Grade Family and the rumors that have followed his departure. According to Samini, the CEO of High-Grade Family, Kofi Kinaata did not abandon High Grade as being alleged.
In an interview with Yen.com, Samini explained that Kofi Kinaata left because his 5 years contract at High-Grade Family had expired and he wanted him to go out and explore on his own.
The legendary Ghanaian Dancehall artist denied the rumors that Kofi Kinaata left after gaining fame and recognition in the industry.
“Kofi Kinaata did not leave High Grade. I do not want to keep people when I feel or see that everything is set for that person to be on his own. I let them go and support them in any way I can,” Samini
According to Samini, he sees himself more as an “artist friend” and “artist supporter” rather than an “artist manager” and he supports his artists even after they leave his management.
Citing Stonebwoy as an example, Samini revealed he made a very good decision making Stonebowy leave his record label after his contract ended and he is super proud of Stonebwoy’s achievements since he went out on his own to start Bhim Nation.
