Samuel Ofori fires producers of 'witchcraft' movies

Mr Samuel Ofori who was in the news weeks ago receiving praises from Nigerian movie marketers in a phone interview with Dj Murphy Lee host of Storm FM's Entertainment Extra condemned movie producers who mainly focus on producing movies portraying witchcraft.

The chief executive officer of 2 Eyes Films, lamented on the issue when Murphy Lee asked him about his movies and what he does to make his production special.

"Movies in Ghana for sometime now took a negative turn, our movies which was meant to educate us on issues concerning the future and things we can practical see was channelled by some movie producers to a comic play of witchcraft movies.

Teaching and informing young ones wrongly, these movies has gone to the extent of having young one's calling their parents names and blaming them for their misfortunes. I strongly stand against such movies", he said.

According to the well known movie producer, it got to a time movies that portrays and teach good morals in all aspects of life, received low patronage and that made him looked elsewhere.

The movie producer went on pleading with movie producers asking them to desist from the act of producing such movies for love of money and rather stick with the aim of imbibing morals in to young ones to help build a better Ghana

"I was once contacted by Mr Ofori to play a role in one of his movies, names has never being a focal point in his movies. He gives equal opportunities to everyone, his production is one of the best in the Ghanaian movie industry and I believe that's what is taking him far", Xandy Kamel openly explained.
