Sandra Oduro With so much belief in herself and with so many people believing in her talents, it is no mystery that Sandra Oduro a.k.a Mama Sandy has made it as one of the finest gospel musicians today. Described as a poised girl with style, grace, charm, confidence, talent and a rich, velvety voice, this 24 year old gospel songstress was inspired by the likes of Esther Smith and Cindy Thompson.
Sandra believes that through her music, she is promoting the works of God. She fellowships currently at God?s Victorious Ministry and is currently a student of Kumasi Polytechnic. A former chapel prefect of Kumasi Academy, Sandra Oduro started singing at church and was hopeful of becoming a gospel songstress one day.
Now out with her maiden album entitled Yesu Ayonkofa which means Friendship with Jesus, the album contains eight solid tracks. Side A opens with the title track Yesu Ayonkofa, which is captivating, soul - inspiring song about the wonderful blessings of developing a relationship with Jesus Christ, and is doing well on the local charts in Ghana.
There is also another hit track Gye Me which means Save Me. This song talks about God?s love for mankind and his desire to save us in times of difficulties or temptation. God is a just and merciful God willing to save us at all times therefore we should all worship Him.
Meda Wase praises God for all the wonderful things he has done and continues to do in our lives. Mabre a worship song is the fourth track on the album and is also soul- inspiring.
Side B also contains songs like No Way for Satan (a praise song), Emmanuel, Ebeye Yie and ends with Anka Meye (a worship song).
Sandra Oduro did the lead and backing vocals on all the tracks. All songs were recorded and mixed at Quantus Digital Studios, Oseikrom .The album is executively produced by Ben Mensah of Big Ben Music Center.
