Sarkodie “Obidiponbidi” who was billed to perform on the highly-anticipated T-Tain Live In Ghana concert with a host of other Ghanaian artistes, have pulled out at the eleventh hour.

Investigations by Yours Truly reveal that the reason for him pulling out of the event organized by 233 Connect is to enable him concentrate on his own event, the Sarkodie Live in Concert “Rapperholic”.

Sarkodie was expected to be on the bill for the 233 concert on Thursday 22nd December, 2011 before performing again on Sunday 25th December, 2011 for his own concert which is also the official launch of his second album.

According to close sources, Sarkodie’s management Dunwills Entertainment believes that Sarkodie who just returned from a chain of performances from the USA, needs more time to relax and prepare for his concert, hence the decision for him to pull out.

Peacefmonline.com findings also revealed that 233 Connect offered Sarkodie an amount of about GH¢12,000 to share the stage with T-Pain, but he still went ahead to opt out. According to other sources, the “You Go Kill Me” hit maker has also rejected a very juicy offer from Charter House to perform at the “Ghana Rocks” concert with international star Chipmunk all because of his concert.

This implies that this Christmas, fans of the fastest rapper will get to see their star perform only at the Dome at the Accra International Conference Center on Christmas day December 25 with support from his friends; Stay Jay, Kwabena Kwabena, Trigmatic, Castro, Obrafour, Efya, Chempe, D-Cryme and more.

Peacefmonline.com spoke to a 233 Connect official Obed Boafo, who confirmed the story. He however stressed that there is no bad blood between them and Sarkodie and his management. According to him, Sarkodie probably pulled out because the T-Pain show was postponed.

“It was a mutual agreement between both parties for Sarkodie to pull out because we both realized that it will not be convenient for him and it will be unprofessional for Sarkodie because his own concert is on December 25 just a day after the T-Pain concert”.

Asked about how much Sarkodie was paid for the T-Pain concert and if he has returned the money, Obed said he does not have information about those details.

The promoters have assured Ghanaians that nothing has changed about the event and tickets are still valid from the sales points.

In a related development, the 233 Connect T-Pain show happening at the International Conference Center, The Dome, on 22nd December has been rescheduled to the 24th of December.

According to a press release sent to Peacefmonline.com by the event Publicist Obed Boafo, the “T-Pain Live in Ghana” concert will now be held on December 24th, instead of the 22nd.

The release said due to the huge response the show has attracted so far in Ghana, both parties have agreed that the show date be moved 2 days forward, meaning the "auto-tune" artiste will spend Christmas day, in Ghana.
