For music lovers who are head over heels in love with the songs of gospel music ace, Yaw Sarpong, something good will be coming their way after the December general elections.

Yaw Sarpong, no doubt a crowd-puller and trailblazer in gospel music, will be coming out with his next album tilted Jerusalem.

The music ace says the production is an enchanting piece of work that will surely meet the expectations of gospel music lovers.

But even before the album comes out, Sarpong is so much concerned about Ghana having a very peaceful election in December.

Almost every Ghanaian shares the musicians concerns that for this country to enjoy the desired peace and progress, it needs a stable political climate.

To this end, requests have been made to Sarpong to relaunch the Asomdwee Abatoo album he came out with in connection with the 2000 elections.

Sarpong says much as he is prepared to use the powerful medium of music to foster peace and good neighbourliness among Ghanaians, the cost of giving the album a new look to suit the present circumstances would be too much for him to bear.

He asserts that contrary to public opinion that he received governmental support in the production of the Asomdwee Abatoo, he single-handedly bankrolled the 40 million cedis project by pledging his Mercedes saloon car as collateral to get a bank loan. He later had to raise the money to pay the bank to get his car back.

According to Sarpong, if he can get sponsors, the album could be relaunched in a grand way to impact positively on the upcoming general elections.

Sarpong?s desire to see Ghanaians live in peace has largely been informed by the scars of war he saw during the Liberian civil war.
