Ghanaian socialite Nana Tonardo has asked for forgiveness from Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, the leader of the Ajagurajah Movement, following allegations made by a German lady named Gladys during a show.
Tonardo explained that he did not know the woman personally but merely provided her with a platform to speak, during which she made serious accusations against the pastor.
Tonardo apologised to Ajagurajah for the allegations made by the woman, which have tarnished the pastor's reputation and caused significant issues.
"I just gave the lady [Gladys] the platform to speak; I had nothing to do with what she said about you. Pastor Ajagurajah, when the issue came up, I tried to contact you but couldn’t reach you. I have nothing against you, so I am using this platform to beg and apologise if you were offended.
"I have seen the video where you were upset about the woman’s remarks and blaming me, but it’s not my fault," he said in Twi in a video shared by gossip24tv on Instagram.
It is worth recalling that in January 2023, a German-based Ghanaian lady named Gladys accused Ajagurajah of rape and scamming her out of over GH¢8,000.
While making these serious allegations against the pastor, Tonardo warned Ajagurajah to resolve the issue amicably to avoid public disgrace.
Ajagurajah then warned that Tonardo and the woman might face severe consequences if the accusations were not retracted.
However, the socialite has now issued an apology to the pastor.
