A misunderstanding between neighbours living near the La Market on December 19, last year resulted in bloody exchanges that left three people seriously injured.

According to La police, a simple issue of a request by a seamstress, Helen Adjei, 23, to a neighbour to tune down the volume on a cassette player and an uncompromising response on the part of the neighbour led to the scuffle.

Helen had told the police in the her statement that her one-year old boy was seriously sick and needed rest.

The neighbour, Richard Anang took offence, and insults were rained from both sides.

A free for all fight ensued leaving each with serious injuries. Helen suffered two punctured wounds on the scalp and three lacerations on her backsides whilst Richard and his brother Clifford, both suffered fractures and cuts on their bodies. The La police is still investigating the case.
