Controversial Ghanaian socialite Afia Schwarzenegger has launched a fierce attack on media personalities Mona Gucci and Afia Pokua, following allegations that they have disrespected the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

In recent remarks, Afia Pokua, a journalist at Agoo TV, criticised the Asantehene for his perceived silence amid ongoing conflicts involving his subjects and other tribes, including the Bonos.

On Onua FM’s ‘Bribi Gye Gye wo,’ hosted by Mona Gucci, Pokua expressed frustration with what she sees as Ashanti superiority over other tribes and the Asantehene's inaction towards it.

These comments have since sparked outrage among the Ashantis, with Afia Schwarzenegger leading the charge.

In a TikTok Live session, Schwarzenegger condemned Afia Pokua for her remarks and Mona Gucci for allowing such comments to be broadcast on her show.

She fumed, “You are insulting the Ashantis because you claim we parade ourselves superior to other tribes. We control and own the country called Ghana. It is the gospel truth, we own the country. Deal with it! When we were making money, you were busily schooling. We are proud Ashantis, or should we call ourselves Gonjas? Or Ewes? Or Ga’s?

Schwarzenegger further claimed that Ashantis are among the wealthiest in Ghana and suggested that the country would face collapse without them.

“Ashantis per percentage are the richest and you cannot do anything about it. We are a nation on its own. Let’s create a wall around the Ashanti region and let’s see what will be left of your Ghana,” she stated.

She continued, “If the Ashantis or the Asantehene ever face a meat shortage, we will come for you. You’ll be the ones used as meat.”

Her statements have received support from some Ashantis but have also been largely criticized by others who feel she has crossed the line.
