Scratch Studios, Brako “Dream Child” To Be Launched On Thursday

THE EVENING of Thursday July 22 is set to be a landmark on Ghana’s entertainment calendar as it’s the day the phenomenal joint project between ace highlife musician Ben Brako, founder and president of Highlife Institute, and Scratch Studios and Entertainment, spearheaded by visionary businessman Kofi Amoakohene, will be officially launched at the British Council.

The ‘Dream Child’ song, which seeks the accelerated socio-economic advancement of the African child through investment in the education and empowerment of the African Child by governments, corporate bodies and civil society, will be unveiled.

The event, sponsored by the progressive Ghana office of the World Bank, has been endorsed by key corporate bodies including TIGO, KPMG, Peace FM, Coca Cola and several others, who are determined to use their resources to make Africa a better place.

Proceeds from sales of the song will be channeled primarily into charity projects, particularly the Korle-Bu Children’s Clinic headed by Dr. Welbeck.

For absolute credibility, KPMG will manage the funds to ensure maximum benefit to the children.

The ‘Dream Child’ song, written by Brako, will keep the audience spellbound by its fusion of African rhythms with other global sounds, which Scratch Studios calls SYNCHOS (Synchronized Soul).

The lyrics are inspiring, encouraging the African Child to “Dream Deep, and Leap Deep”, despite the several negative factors that militate against its progress.

Featured artistes on the song include celebrated stars like Hugh Masekela (South Africa), Okyerema Asante, Bessa Simons, Carlos Sakyi, Paulina Oduro, Shasha Marley, Wutah, Obuor, etc., with added inspiration coming from Teddy Osei of Osibisa, Nigerian superstar J. Martins and several others.

The response to this laudable project from many prominent and responsible corporate bodies (whose representatives will communicate special messages to the audience) has been positive and impressive, with several of them determined to change the destiny of the African Child, in the process transforming the continent and placing Africa among the very best in the world.
