A man who claims to be a freelance journalist was on Thursday sentenced to four years' imprisonment with hard labour by an Accra Circuit Tribunal.
Kwasi Mensah, alias Osei Tutu, 48, broke into the premises of a computer company in an attempt to steal. He pleaded guilty to unlawful entry.
The tribunal chaired by Mr Imoru Ziblim, heard that at about 1400 hours on January 6 the accused, together with two accomplices, one Remi and Wanzaam, who were on the run, went into the premises of Bentbury Group of Companies off the Ring Road Central and forcibly broke into the offices.
The prosecution said they were spotted by one of the company's managers when they were about to carry away their booty, which included computer accessories.
The manager raised the alarm and Mensah, who was then in one of the offices, was arrested but the others managed to escape.
