Self-acclaimed dancehall King Shatta Wale has advised his fellow colleagues in the music industry to humble themselves especially when it comes to dealing with their fans.
Shatta Wale said this in an interview on UTV when he was asked how he interacts with his fans.
He told the host of the show that he treats his fans well because they are the reason he and other artistes are still in the business and advised that they should not shun them especially when they chance on on them in town, at concerts, and in traffic.
The ‘Taking Over’ hit maker and SM boss said he heard rumors about Sarkodie snubbing a fan in traffic when the fan asked for a selfie. To him, it was a very unfortunate incident and advised that artistes should desist from such acts.
“I really understand and feel their pain, because they are not getting any artiste that understand them, recently I heard a rumor about an artiste that refused to take a selfie with a fan, yes Sarkodie, and I felt bad about it’, he said.
Shatta Wale said even though he doesn’t think the artistes are rude, he thinks they should develop a sense of humility and treat their fans well because it is the support of their fans that have brought them this far.
