Ghanaian rapper Ypee has revealed that dancehall musician Shatta Wale offered to give him and his team all the royalties from their collaborative project Ahodwo Las Vegas, but they declined the offer.
Speaking in a recent interview on Hammer Time, Ypee explained that they turned down the offer because of the huge amount of money Shatta Wale invested in the project.
According to him, the dancehall artiste spent heavily on the production and promotion of the song and its music video.
“Shatta Wale asked us to take all the royalties and the money made from the `Ahodwo Las Vegas’ project, but we refused the offer,” he said.

Ypee noted that after seeing the scale of investment that went into the project, it felt unfair to accept the royalties.
“That’s because, looking at the video, he spent a lot of money on that project. He stayed in Kumasi for a long time. The whole budget was crazy,” he explained.
The rapper shared that after discussions among themselves, they all agreed that Shatta Wale should take the earnings from the project.
“We all came to an understanding that we should let him get everything. There’s no point taking the royalties from him even though he insisted we should keep it,” he added.
