Self-proclaiming Dance Hall King of Ghana, Shatta Wale who is known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah has stated in no uncertain terms that he is very rich as compared to other African acts.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Accra-based GH One TV, the “Taking Over” hit maker indicated that many African acts wanted their personalities to be portrayed as very wealthy. He added that he did not revere any artiste but saw them as colleagues.
The “Ayoo” singer used popular Nigerian musician Wizkid, known in real life as Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun as an example. Shatta Wale indicated that he had more cars than Wizkid. He added that unlike many artistes, he did not have low self-esteem so he was not in the business of ‘worshiping’ foreign acts.
He added that if some foreign artistes own cars and mansions, he owns some too.
Shatta Wale was recently in Jamaica and the United States of America. In his absence, some members of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly ‘harassed’ Shatta Michy over her pub in Accra.
