Controversial dancehall artiste Bandana aka Shatta Wale has expressed an unqualified apology to Charter House during his performance at the Ghana Rocks Concert held at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The Concert organized by Charter House headlined Shatta Wale who had previously abused the event organizers verbally and subsequently released a song, Letter to Charter House, to express his displeasure towards his loss of the Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year award to Kaakie at this year’s Ghana Music Awards.

He was the final act for the concert where he stopped his performance after singing the chorus of the abusive song to Charter House. Amid cheers from the audience, Shatta Wale called on George Quaye, an event director with the company, to join him on stage where he apologized for abusing them.

Mr. George Quaye, popularly known as Aboagye, accepted the apology and said it was a matured gesture Shatta Wale had expressed. The audience roared with excitement as they pat each other at the back for the show to continue.

The Concert, which is an annual one, brings together international performers to brush off with their Ghanaian counterparts. From the UK this year were Charsay, Silva, Skobs and Gizmo who performed along Ghana’s Sarkodie, R2bees, EL, M.anifest, Joey B and Shatta Wale among others.

Also featured on the show was award-winning UK based DJ, Tim Westwood who got the audience off their seats with Ghana’s DJ Black.
