Legendary broadcaster, Mr Tommy Annan Forson has revealed emphatically that, upon his research, Shatta Wale has the most vulgar song he has ever listened to.
Mr. Tommy Annang Forson, who is also a stand-up ace comedian was answering a question pertaining to whether there should be a panel or a law to scrutinize songs before it’s being played publicly.
He spoke with Hot and Classic Showbiz review host Dr. Who on Hot 93.9fm in Accra:
“I don’t agree with the fact that there should be a law to scrutinize songs before they are played publicly because artists come out with many songs every hour, but broadcasters or those who play the songs must listen to them first before they play. I quite remember I went to an engagement ceremony and I heard this Shatta Wale song…in fact, that song is the most vulgar song I have ever listened to…the song was talking about a woman’s private part which is very bad”, Mr Tommy told Dr. Who.
Mr. Forson further argued that, even if there should be a law, that law wouldn’t work.
The celebrated broadcaster indicated rather that, broadcasters or DJ's must be bold enough to reject songs that contain profane words.
A decade and a half ago, he also advocated for the ban of Daddy Lumba’s “Aben wo ha” hit song.
