Hiplife artiste Nukre has called on current reigning streets/Dancehall King Shatta Wale to join the fight against Tramadol (Tramol) abuse by the youth and make it his fight.

Nukre previously known as Shatta Zola said the latter’s silence on the issue smacks of cowardice especially since most victims live on the streets and in depressed areas popularly referred to as the ghettos.

The artiste said this is not to say all his fans or followers are tramadol addicts as some people will argue but believes that the best person to lead this campaign is Shatta Wale because most of his followers are from the ghettos and currently has a lot of influence on the streets and Ghetto youths than any other celebrity, he rules the Ghettos now.

“I’m disappointed in Shatta and will call him a coward for sleeping on the way Tramadol overdose is destroying the lives of many in the Ghettos. People living in the Ghettos especially the youth, look up to him. Shatta stands as the Father of the Ghettos and this is the time the youths needs him” Nukre opined.

He posited that, if Shatta can call on government to wake up in developing this country and making it a beautiful place then he also needs to wake up in the fight against drugs that are wasting the lives of the ghetto youth.

"If Shatta was able to compose a song to create awareness on fake Prophet and their fake prophecies then what stops him from doing same in the fight against the abuse of Tramadol?" the singer fumed.

He further expressed worry on the Mid-morning show on Uniiq Fm with Kwame Uniiq at how dangerous it is for a female News Presenter Nana Aba Anamoah to be going into the Ghettos alone to educate the youth on Tramadol overdose.

According to “Taxi driver” hit-maker, he is making this call for Shatta to join forces on this fight because three close friends of his, two boys and a girl who were barely 30 years lost their lives recently due to Tramadol.

He said there are lot of issues affecting the youths today that Wale can help in addressing them but he rather take interest in some unnecessary things that at the end of the day have no positive impact on the very people that follows you.

"Wale should not be seen commenting on it. This is a very serious issue that is affecting youths in our society. So if you have the voice, you should be seen in front, you should be seen fighting it in daily basis" he said.

Nukre is a Ghanaian hiplife artiste who composed the song “Taxi driver” featuring Bisa kdei. His album will be launched in July with Female Dancehall Artiste AK songstress. Tumbani is the producer of the album with videos by Prince Dovlo.
