Shatta Wale’s only competition is Burnaboy and Davido - Showboy

Ghanaian musician and social media personality Showboy has sparked online conversations after boldly declaring that dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has no competition in the Ghanaian music industry.

Speaking during a recent TikTok live session, Showboy claimed that the only artistes qualified enough to compete with Shatta Wale are Nigerian superstars Burna Boy and Davido.

According to him, no Ghanaian artiste is currently operating on the same level as the “On God” hitmaker.

“Shatta Wale’s only competition is Burna Boy and Davido. Those are the only people, artistes who travel in private jets,” Showboy stated during the live session.

His comments come after Shatta Wale travelled from Ghana to London aboard a private jet ahead of his upcoming ShattaFest event in the UK.

Showboy pointed to the private jet trip as proof of Shatta Wale’s status, arguing that only a few African artistes can afford such luxury travel.

He added that Burna Boy and Davido are among the few African musicians known for travelling overseas in private jets.

The statement has since sparked debate on social media, with fans divided over whether Shatta Wale truly stands in a league of his own within the Ghanaian music scene.
