Shatta Wale will be doing a live land performance of his songs when he takes the stage at the GN Bank awards event tonight at the Accra International Conference Center.

Spyder Lee Entertainment, organisers of the GN Bank Awards told Starr Entertainment the Shatta Movement King, who is the headline performer of the night said he was going live to shut down his critics, who have said he did not have good vocal abilities hence his “excessive” use of autotune.

In all, about 10 performers including Shatta, the reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year and Best New Entertainer at the 2014 International Reggae and World Music Awards are expected to bring the venue alive when they mount the stage tonight.

The others include legendary highlife musician Abrantie Amakye Dede, gifted and multiple award winning songstress Efya, and emerging African music icon, Noella Wiyaala.

Making the rest of the list are Ghanaian hip-life musician EL; R&B singer Raquel; UK’s superstar disc jockey Tim Westwood; gospel musicians Joyce Blessing and Obaapa Christy as well as hip-life musician, Luther.

According to the Public Relations officer of Spyder Lee Entertainment, Chris Koney, the event promises to be the biggest night in Ghana as the people’s favourite performers within the Arts and Entertainment industry from August 2013 to August 2014 are celebrated and awarded.

Starr FM’s Kwabena Anokye Adisi aka Bola Ray (CEO) and Naa Ashokor Doku Mensah Adodoaji are among the personalities nominated to receive awards tonight.
