Shirley Frimpong Manso
Even though Nigerian flicks; Soldier's Story and 'Osimiri' have lead movies with highest nominations in the 2016 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Ghanaian movies have also grabbed more and more nominations at this year's AMAA.
Movies such as Peculiar life of a spider was nominated for the best animation category, Best Treasure as well as Daggers of life were nominated in Best Film in African language category.
Other movies such as the Cursed ones had multiple nominations and as well Shirley Frimpong Manso's Rebecca also had multiple nominations.
Actors and actress such as Oris Erhuero, Nana Obiri-Yeboah and Ophelia Klenam Dzidzornu got individual nominations in roles they played 'The Cursed Ones' as well.
This year's AMAA is scheduled to hold on June 11, 2016 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
