Ghanaian singer cum entrepreneur, Mzbel, has expressed her deep concerns regarding the relentless surge in the cost of living across the nation.

In a poignant message, she bemoaned the staggering prices of basic commodities and essential services, shedding light on the profound economic hardships endured by countless Ghanaians.

Running her own restaurant, Mzbel disclosed the profound impact these inflated prices are having on her business operations.

She disclosed the alarming reality of purchasing a single tomato for GH¢5, illustrating the formidable challenge of procuring ingredients and provisions at sustainable rates for her establishment.

Moreover, alongside the escalating costs of goods, Mzbel addressed the weight of mounting electricity tariffs.

Recounting the aftermath of new meter installations, she revealed an alarming daily expenditure of GH¢200 on electricity, a burdensome cost straining her financial resources.

Mzbel fervently urged the government to implement decisive measures aimed at stabilizing the economy and alleviating the financial strain inflicted by soaring living expenses.

Expressing her frustration, she exclaimed, "A single tomato now costs five cedis. I simply wanted to prepare an egg for my child, but when I sent my staff to purchase tomatoes, she returned with just one, priced at five cedis. Where is our nation heading?

"Every day, I spend 200 cedis on electricity, only for it to barely last 24 hours. Are we to resign ourselves to despair? The stress is overwhelming, truly overwhelming. I find myself unable to engage on social media these days."
