Accra, Dec. 6, GNA - As part of the marketing strategy of Sleek Cosmetics Ghana Limited for 2008, the company has signed a Public Relations (PR) agreement with Pearl Amoah, a renowned Ghanaian international model, to undertake a programme for its make-up brands. This agreement would enable Sleek Cosmetics to communicate effectively with its target market through marketing campaigns that include advertising and charity events.
Speaking during the signing of the contract on Thursday, Mr Bernard Annoh, General Manager of Sleek Cosmetics Ghana Limited, said the brand campaign for next year would seek to bring Sleek products closer its consumers through education and entertainment.
He said as part of the contract, Pearl would be provided with an official vehicle bearing the Sleek brand and also offer support to her Non-Governmental Organization called Pearl Projects, which offered support to the less privileged in society.
Mr Annoh said the project, which would be launched in January next year, would last for a year and be renewable based on her performance. The General Manager said Sleek Cosmetics, despite having a lot of competitors on the market, still stood out as the best adding, "2008 will be a special year for sleek men and women." Pearl Amoah, former Miss Universe Ghana, said she would use her experience in the fashion world to help improve upon the marketability of Sleek products.
She said after using the products for some time now, she had come to realize that Sleek products were one of the best on the market as far as cosmetics were concerned.
Ms Amoah expressed her appreciation to Sleek Ghana for the opportunity given her and promised to live up to their expectation. "Having been in the fashion industry for the past 14 years, I think I am the right person for the job," she said.
