NEWS-ONE sources in the office of movie producer Socrates Safo have produced an audio recording in which Socrates was heard threatening to use juju, also known as voodoo, to find out the moles among his cast and crew.
Socrates was secretly captured making the juju threat, moments after NEWS-ONE had called him to ask questions about his ‘Sons of Satan’ movie in which he was not only reported to have jerked off an actor and stolen the sperms but also failed to edit a sex scene in the movie.
NEWS-ONE had called to find out from Socrates whether it was true that Big Brother contestant Alex Biney, who played a role in ‘Sons of Satan’ had threatened to go to court if the movie was released onto the public market without some scenes properly edited.
When NEWS-ONE called Socrates, he refused to answer the question and rather chose to accuse Baby Blanche, one of the actresses in the movie, of talking to the paper.
The recording, which lasted a little over five minutes, captured the producer saying in Twi that “Papa nye hwee a, bone nso nye hwee,” to wit “If doing good is no big deal, then doing bad is no big deal either.”
“We work as a team and I deal with you all on the basis of trust so if someone would keep giving out stories that would destroy my image and get the movie banned again, then I may have to beg Nananom (my ancestors) to get rid of that person.
“It would only take a bottle of schnapps and twelve eggs and no journalist would continue to know things we do in this office,” said Socrates whose first name happens to be the name of arguably the greatest and wisest Greek philosopher ever to have lived.
After receiving the recording, NEWS-ONE again called Socrates to find out how he would use a bottle of schnapps and 12 eggs to get to know who in his office was speaking to the paper.
Instead of responding to the question, Socrates rather called a journalist friend to beg NEWS-ONE not to do any story on ‘Sons of Satan’ as a negative story from the media might get the yet-to-be-released movie banned.
Though NEWS-ONE has not watched ‘Sons of Satan’, sources have described it as an occult-oriented and soft-porn film.
