Some Ghanaians are hypocrites – Ebony’s father to critics

Father of current Dancehall sensation, Ebony reigns, Nana Poku-Kwarteng has said he blessed his daughter intelligent daughter to pursue her dream in music after he could not convince her to stay in school.

According to him, although it is every parent dream in Ghana for his/her child to reach the highest level on the academic ladder, he had to give in to his daughter’s choice and make her chase her dreams.

The father who was speaking to graphic Showbiz in an interview said “We are so close that I gave her the go ahead when she told me she wanted to do music. Initially, I questioned her decision because she is a very intelligent girl and was doing extremely well in school and every parent will want his or her child to get to the top of the highest academic ladder. But she insisted music was what she wanted to do. Music is where her heart is and I gave her my blessings. I couldn’t have stopped her because these children are smart”.

On her choice of dress for events and performances, Nana Poku-Kwarteng said he blesses her and her choice of dress anytime she is out to perform.

He indicated that “I am not ashamed as a father, the truth is that, I choose what she wears and I bless her before she goes out to perform.”

He added that Ghanaians are hypocrites and he is not one of them.

“ Some Ghanaians are hypocrites and I am sorry but I am not one of them”.
