The year 2014 ended peacefully and on a joyful note as most of the orphans, less privileged and some of the widows in the country received kind gestures from some Ghanaian celebrities.
During the holiday season, some of the Ghanaian celebrities took time off their busy schedules to either spend their day by showing the less privileged more love and care or donating to them as part of their social responsibilities.
Ghanaian International Gospel Musician, Sonnie Badu donated some items and cash to spice up the Christmas celebrations of 10 widows on Christmas Eve.
The ten widows who could not hide their joy due to the kind gesture also blessed Sonnie individually; prophesying greatness in his music ministry.
The Award-winning Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie, known in real life as Michael Owusu Addo, spent his Christmas day in grand style with children from different parts of Accra on a #feeddakids campaign in Tema, where they provided many kids with free food and music.
Kwaku Manu, Ghanaian actor and founder of the Kwaku Manu Foundation, also partnered with Adom Boateng Foundation on Christmas day to donate some bags of rice and cooking oil to widows in Kumasi.
He explained that most of the widows do remember their husbands as well as they wish they have someone who can make them happy during the Christmas season, hence, resulting in his donation.
Nana Ama McBrown, begun the year 2015 by donating some items to the Mampong Babies Home in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region as part of her New Year Celebration.
Other celebrities believe in showing their love and care to the less privileged behind the camera, thus, not giving in the open for people to know the items or money they donate.
The question still remains...did they really donate; and what is wrong with making their fans aware of what they do with the wealth they helped them acquire?
