Some entertainment show hosts are ignorant - Nii Ayi Tagoe

It’s an obvious fact that there are so many entertainment discussion shows on radio and television which tackle most aspects of the entertainment industry of Ghana.

The upsurge of these entertainment discussion shows has also brought in its wake so many radio presenters who are named as entertainment show hosts and the upsurge of entertainment analysts, pundits or panellists on these shows cannot be ignored.

Speaking to Flex Newspaper in an exclusive interview, a banker, DJ and an entertainment show host with Starr 103.5fm, Nii Ayi Tagoe confirmed there are so many entertainment discussion shows on radio and television and this could be attributed to the general upsurge of entertainment activities in the country.

He also noted that so many radio stations have sprung up and most of these radio stations have found it very important to discuss issues associated with entertainment activities that come up in the country adding that it is healthy for the industry as it brings the activities of the entertainment industry to the fore.

Nii Ayi Tagoe however stressed that he has listened to a lot of entertainment show hosts and has realized that most of them are totally ignorant of the entertainment industry that they represent. He said that most of them are not informed about the entertainment industry in and out of Ghana.

He also noted that just as most of the entertainment show hosts are ignorant, most of the people who form part of these entertainment discussion shows as entertainment analysts, pundits or panellists are not qualified to be addressed as such.
