Dr Lawrence Tetteh, an International Evangelist has denied media reports that Sonnie Badu, an ace Ghanaian Artist is dead.

“He is alive and kicking. He called me from Australia where he is currently ministering to the people through gospel music, we had a long conversation,” he told the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Monday.

He said the musician suffered from fatigue and was detained in hospital for a checkup and was discharged the same day.

Dr Tetteh asked the admirers of Sonnie Badu to ignore the rumours of his death especially on the social media.

“The musician will be in Ghana this weekend and Ghanaians will see him alive to the glory of God,” he said.

He asked the faceless people hiding behind the social media and pronouncing people dead to put an end to the nefarious activities, which ended up injuring the feelings of relatives, friends and sympathisers.

Dr Tetteh said not long ago, a section of the social media declared former President Jerry John Rawlings as well as the wife of ex - President John Agyekum Kufuor; Theresa, dead.

“Interestingly I was also declared dead recently and people started calling my relatives to express their condolences because of the death of a Pastor called Tetteh. It is a bad practice that must stop,” he stressed.
