Ghanaian gospel musician Sonnie Badu has revealed why he has not yet invested in a football team despite his desire to do so.

During an interview with Accra-based GHOne TV, Sonnie Badu shared that although he has intentions to manage a football team in the future, he is cautious about the potential challenges and risks involved.

He observed that he has not seen many former African football players investing in teams or coaching in Africa.

Sonnie Badu pointed out that the typical progression for retired footballers is to either build parks, invest in teams, or pursue coaching, yet only a few have taken these steps.

“This is Africa. So, you have to be careful where you invest because something will happen that will just put you off. I was asking the question, why hasn't any ex-football player invested? Why? They don't want to do that.

“Because the natural reflex is after soccer, after you've played football, you either build a park, you know, a monumental place or invest in a team or go into coaching. Who has a team? Why has none of them really done it and only a few? Okay, there must be something wrong. Yeah, something going on,” he concluded.
